Reception

According Powermetal.de Immortal would not be as crazy as some other genre output, not as aggressive as the metallic side of the Visual - Kei - spectrum and not quite as wild as the J-rock itself would have the plate but such a broad potential that they would eventually advance to become the classic.

Metal Hammer says D' espairsRay Immortal would indeed make not immortal, but had a great anniversary CD and more than a mere compilation of their hits.

The album was described by jame -world.com as a cheap alternative, which would bring an additional purchase incentive nor the DVD. The collection is not only worth a look for fans, but also all those who want to become one. There was criticism that the songs would sound with the new mixing and fine tuning here and there a little fuller, but new game variations of the songs were not to be found of their live concerts on the CD.
