Founded in 1964, The oil and gas group INA Industrija nafte dd ( roughly translates to " oil industry " ) has approximately 17,000 employees and a network of over 400 service stations, the largest company in Croatia.

The partly state-owned corporation headquartered in Zagreb has licenses for exploration and production of oil and gas in Croatia, Russia, Angola, Albania, Algeria, Libya, Egypt and Syria.

A subsidiary is specialized in oil production Crosco society. INA also has several investments, including 10 % of OMV ISTRABENZ and holds a 67 % together with MOL on the Bosnian Energopetrol.

The INA is the operator of the oil refinery of Rijeka, located at the area of Bakar (city) at the entrance of the Bay of Bakar.
