Inal Dzhioyev

Inal Grigorjewitsch Dschiojew (Russian Инал Григорьевич Джиоев; born November 5, 1969 in South Ossetia) is a former Russian footballer of Ossetian origin.

Life and career

Inal Dschiojew is an ethnic Ossetian was born in the then Soviet South Ossetia. His career as a football player, he joined Spartak Tskhinvali before 1989, the club Alania Vladikavkaz in the Russian North Ossetia (then Spartak Ordzhonikidze ) has been aware of him. With his new club, he was able in 1990 to ascend from the second division in the Wysschaja League, the highest Soviet league. When the Soviet Union broke up permanently in 1991, Spartak Vladikavkaz was, as his club was called at that time, founding member of the new Russian premier league. Dschiojew was preferably used as a defender and defensive midfielder. In the UEFA Cup in 1993/94, he celebrated his first appearance at the European level, 1995, he was with his club Russian master. In the championship season he was team captain. 1996, the second place in the table has been reached. In 1997, he ended his career due to knee problems. Overall, he brought it on 216 league games for Vladikavkaz in which he scored 16 goals.

After his playing career, he returned Dschiojew the football back. He later worked as a customs officer in Nalchik. However, it is still followers of Alania Vladikavkaz and described the club in an interview among other things as national treasure Ossetia.
