Inch Clutha is a large, flat island in the delta of the Clutha River on the South Island of New Zealand. It is located downstream from the town of Balclutha and is about 10 km long and 3 km wide.
The fertile, but threatened by flooding land is used for intensive agriculture.
The island's name is derived from the Scottish Gaelic language: innis means " island " and Cluaidh is the Gaelic name of the Scottish river River Clyde.
