Location of Indalsälven
The Indalsälven is a river in Sweden.
Its headwaters are the Åreälven and Järpströmmen, both north-west of the village of Åre rise in the Scandinavian mountains. The Indalsälven flows east, where it flows into the Gulf of Bothnia, 15 km north of Sundsvall to 420 kilometers. It crosses the provinces of Jämtland County, thereby Västernorrland County. Among other things, it flows through the lake Storsjön. There are numerous hydroelectric power stations along its course.
