Indra Nooyi

Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi ( born October 28, 1955 in Madras ( Chennai), India) is an American business manager and, since October 2006, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PepsiCo.

Life

Indra Nooyi studied at Madras Christian College and the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta. There she received the Master of Business Administration Finance and Marketing. After her studies she worked for two years as a product manager at Johnson & Johnson and textile company Mettur Beardsell. Then she went to the Yale School of Management, where she graduated with a Master of Public and Private Management. Starting in 1980, Indra Nooyi worked for six years at the Boston Consulting Group. In 1986, she joined at Motorola, where she was vice president and director of corporate strategy and planning. In 1990, she was at Asea Brown Boveri senior vice president of strategy and strategic marketing. In 1994, she joined the company a Pepsi as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning.
