Infinity edge pool
An infinity pool (Eng. Infinity pool) is a special kind of seemingly loose edge swimming or reflecting pool, in which one end is lowered so that one has the impression that the water would in nothing or in infinity (English infinity ) disappear. In fact, the water running over the lowered edge of an overflow into an underlying basin concealed. This Infinity effect is particularly impressive when the water of the basin apparently merges with the waters of the sea or the air of heaven.
Infinity pools are often found in exclusive holiday resorts or estate, as they are expensive to maintain and expensive to buy and, therefore, are the epitome of luxury. The cruise ships MSC Divina MSC and Preciosa are the first ships of its kind with an infinity pool.
