Informatica Corporation ( NASDAQ: INFA ) was founded in 1993 in Silicon Valley by the Indian entrepreneurs Gaurav Dhillon and Diaz Nezamoney. It was born from the idea that data warehouses should not be read by hand, but can be created with graphical tools. In October 2012, Informatica took over the Stuttgart data management specialist Heiler Software.
