Information warfare

Information warfare (English Infowar or information warfare ) is a term for the targeted use and manipulation of controlled information to achieve advantages over competitors and opponents in business or in politics. This includes the influence of media through misinformation, partial information or propaganda with the aim of media manipulation in their own interest.

In addition, methods that are used to eliminate "hostile " Communication systems and sabotage, called infowar. These include the destruction of equipment for television and radio programs, the use of foreign television and radio stations to broadcast its own information, the destruction of communication logistics or manipulation of transactions on the stock market through interventions via computer, use privileged knowledge or deliberately spread misinformation.
