National Defense University

The National Defense University ( NDU; German National Defense University ) is the center for military education (Joint Professional Military Education, JPME ) of the USA in Washington, DC

The NDU main campus is located in Fort Lesley J. McNair, where the Anacostia River empties into the Potomac River. 1,000 students will be trained and awarded MA 550 titles every year. Most students are between 40 and 45 years old and have 20 years of military experience. In addition to some government employees NDU can annually to eight people from the industry. The annual budget was in 2003 at 108 million U.S. dollars. Current President of the NDU is the United States Navy Vice Admiral Ann E. Rondeau.
