Ingo Pickenäcker

Ingo Pickenäcker ( born April 7, 1962 in Essen) is a former German football player.

Playing career

Pickenäcker began playing football at SC Phoenix Food and changed in 1976 in his hometown to Rot- Weiss Essen. In 1980 he moved to the senior squad by RWE, which took in the 2nd Bundesliga, on. He soon came to regular missions and played until 1982, 44 times in the second division. Then went the defender, who was also employed as a sweeper in the Bundesliga to Borussia Mönchengladbach. Here, however, he could not prevail. In the first season, he completed eight Bundesliga games. 1984 Mönchengladbach reached the DFB Cup final. Pickenäcker was used this season but not in the league still in the cup. So he left the club and went to VfL Bochum, who also took in the Bundesliga. Here he came to use more times, though he was not always set in Bochum. After just one season, he signed a contract with the second division Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. Ingo Pickenäcker was now a leading player in a team that played mostly in the bottom half of the second league. 1988 Oberhausen has revoked the license, which meant a decline in the Oberliga Nordrhein. He remained in the second league, by the season start his last coach at RWO, Hans -Werner Moors followed, and moved to VfL Osnabrück. Here he could deny only 22 games in two years due to injuries.

In 1990, he then returned to Rot- Weiss Essen, where he first met back on Moors as a coach. 1991 RWE has revoked the license, so Pickenäcker had to compete with his team in the Oberliga Nordrhein. Only in 1993 managed to return to professional football after finishing as runner won the German Amateur Championship last year. 1993/94 reached Eating the DFB Cup final, where they lost to Werder Bremen 1:3 gates. Thereafter, however, followed the crash until the Viertklassigkeit ( Oberliga Nordrhein ). After re- promotion to the Regionalliga in 1999, he finished his career.

In the following years he played for the old boys teams from Rot-Weiss Essen and Schwarz-Weiß Essen and was in between once again making a comeback as an active player for VfB Speldorf.

Manager and coaching career

After Pickenäcker Rot-Weiss Essen had left as a player in 1999, he was the beginning of the new millennium base coach of the DFB in the youth field. He is the owner of A coaching license. On 1 January 2009 he was athletic director at VfB Speldorf. During the winter break of the 2013/14 season the collaboration between Pickenäcker and VfB Speldorf was terminated.
