Ingrid Schmeck

Ingrid M. Schmeck (* 1944 in Poznań ) is a German illustrator and graphic designer.

Life

She studied from 1962 to 1967 at the Muthesius Art College in Kiel, and from 1971 to 1973 at the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Hamburg. Since 1974 she has worked as a freelance artist in Lübeck and in other European countries. Since 1975 it is taking study trips to Greece, Switzerland and along the Baltic and Mediterranean coasts. In homes and cityscapes, she has developed a unique, multi-perspective presentation. In addition to urban issues it sets since the 1990s apart with motifs of European flora. A major focus of her work form various manifestations of European Carnival, especially the customs and traditions in the Alemannic region, in Basel and Lucerne. Another area are illustrations of works that deal with the Cruises Peter Deilmann Reederei. Solo exhibitions in Basel, Berlin, Athens, Aix -en- Provence, Coburg, Eckernförde, Geneva, Goslar, Lübeck, Lucerne, Munich, Zurich and on Sylt.
