Initao, Misamis Oriental
Initao (Filipino: Bayan ng Initao ) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Administrative Region X, Northern Mindanao. It has 29 331 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 16 barangays. It is classified as a community of the third income class in the Philippines and as urbanized.
Initao located on the coast of Mindanaosee, about 54 km west of Cagayan de Oro and is accessible via the coastal road. Your neighboring municipalities are Libertad in the north, Alubijid in the east, Naawan in the south.
In the community there is a External Study Center of the Bukidnon State University. Parts of Initao - Libertad Protected Landscape / Seascape lying on the territory of the municipality.
