Inspiral Carpets

The Inspiral Carpets are a British music group.

History

The group was founded in 1986 in Manchester, England. With the Madchester boom, they also belonged to the most famous groups in Britain. Their biggest hits were This Is How It Feels (1990 ), Dragging Me Down (1992) and Saturn 5 (1994).

Since 1994 there has been no new studio album of the group more; a decisive break occurred after the publication of the retrospective " The Singles ", was released in late 1995 the record deal between the label Mute Records and the band by mutual consent. In the following years were devoted to the band members other projects, such as Tom Hingley his band, The Lovers, in phases, there were personal tensions.

In 2003 there was a reunion with extensive touring, as well as 2006 and 2007. Concerts were very successful, and almost everything was sold out. In March 2007, appeared parallel to the tour, the album Keep The Circle (only as an iTunes download available ) containing B-sides and rarities. In addition, a DVD was released with the live recording of a performance in the G- Mex in Manchester.
