Institut d'Estudis Catalans

The Institut d' Estudis Catalans (abbreviated: IEC, dt: " Institute of Catalan Studies ") is an academic- scientific society for research into all aspects of the Catalan language and culture in the Catalan countries with headquarters in Barcelona.

Foundation

On the first Congress of Catalan language in 1906 one considers a relevant scientific institution in the eye.
