Institut d'études politiques de Toulouse

The Institut d' études politiques de Toulouse, ( Sciences Po Toulouse, Toulouse IEP ) is an Institut d' études politiques on the campus of the University of Toulouse I in the center of Toulouse. It is one of nine Institute d' études politiques today in France and as part of the French Grande École elite higher education system.

The institute was established by the decree of 5 May 1948 after the model of the IEP Paris Institut d' études politiques than de l' université de Toulouse and the Institut d' études politiques renamed de Toulouse in 1969. In addition to the IEP Paris and its branches it is now one of eight Institut d' études politiques de Province, the local universities are connected.

At the IEP Toulouse about 1700 students are taught by about 50 scientists in the fields of political science, law, economics, sociology, history and geography. Recording will take place as usual at grandes écoles usually by Concours.

Among the graduates, there are some well-known French journalists and politicians, including former Prime Minister Jacques Godfrain and Henri Cuq.
