International Council of Community Churches

International Council of Community Churches ( ICCC ) is an association of Christian churches of ecumenical co mainline Protestants and Catholics independent. It is the main organization of the Community Church movement. It was formed in 1950 from a merger of two other churches, one with a majority of white and colored with a majority membership.

She sees her most important goals in support of the surrounding communities and their encouragement to ecumenical activities. Other objectives are to combat racism and other prejudices as well as the Christian confrontation with the threat of war and poverty.

Your highest body is a composite passing once a year conference, to which each member municipality sends two delegates, one of which can be one a clergyman. In the year 2006 166 municipalities were merged with 110,000 members in the ICCC.

The ICCC is a full member of the Churches Uniting in Christ, the National Council of Churches in the United States and the World Council of Churches.
