International Mind Sports Association

The International Mind Sports Association ( IMSA ) is an umbrella organization established in 2005 for Puzzle Games.

The IMSA was through the world. Associations World Bridge Federation ( Bridge ) FIDE Chess, Draughts Federation the World ( Dame), the International Federation Go Go founded on 19 April 2005 In 2010, the International Federation of Poker (poker) was added as a fifth member association. She is a member of the umbrella organization of sports federations SportAccord (formerly the General Association of International Sports Federations GAISF ).

Their creation was carried out with the aim common to all Member Associations competitions to organize the so-called World Puzzle games, in particular the Olympic Games a similar event in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The first World Puzzle Games ( 1st World Mind Sports Games) were held in October 2008 in Beijing. In addition to the four former member associations, including the Chinese version of chess, Xiangqi was represented. In 2012, the 2nd World Puzzle Games of 9 took place in Lille to 23 August 2012. The Puzzle species represented are the same as four years earlier to be in Beijing.
