Style

Psychotic Waltz play on the album atmospheric progressive metal, the " become less metallic, but groovy, more psychedelic " than on A Social Grace. Again, there are both bulky and complex pieces with many breaks and heavy riffs and catchy ballads and harmonic passages. With these varied compositions and Buddy Lackey emotional vocals and Into the Everflow is a style stand-alone album.

Like its predecessor was Into the Everflow well received by the press and is now considered classics of the progressive metal. Wolfgang Schäfer of Rock Hard ruled in 1993, the album stelle " simply everything that has been published in recent years on the metal sector [ ... ], easy in the shade ." Place of Holger Andrae powermetal.de, " one is sucked involuntarily in these hypnotic swirl of captivating rhythms and psychedelic hooks and not released ," and also for Georg Heep of the Baby Blue Pages ", this CD is a 45 minute long trip in dream worlds without post - or side effects. " The eclipsed magazine took Into the Everflow on its list of the most important prog metal milestones.
