Intohimo

Intohimo is a Christian post-hardcore band from Jönköping.

History

Intohimo was founded in 2004 and consists of the musicians Johan Lindblom (vocals), Joakim Bergquist (guitar), Albim Blomqvist (ex -Her Bright Skies, guitar), Jakob Sandgren (bass guitar) and Joakim Möller (drums).

2006, the group won on the Indie Award Festival in the category "Best Unsingned Act Award". The group received a contract with Pritty Dirty Promotions and released the debut album, Failures, Failures, Failures & Hope in 2007. In the fall of 2008, the group signed with The Unit Music Company and began work on the second album with Simon Grenhed Blindside. In spring 2009, the album was pre-published during a concert with Underoath in Gothenburg. It's called "Us; The Hollows " and entered the Swedish charts on 15 May 2009. In the same year, the group met at the Flevo Festival in the Netherlands.

2010 the group played at several festivals, including Siesta Festival, Peacedog festival, Dreamhack and rock Without Limits.

In March 2011 Intohimo first played in the United States. This was at SXSW in Austin, Texas. In September of the same year the group was together with Write This Down support band for The Blind Side for their U.S. tour of " With Shivering Hearts we Wait Tour".

Even though the musicians are committed Christians, they do not refer to the band as a Christian band. Intohimo is Finnish and means passion.
