Intoxicative inhalant

Inhalants (English inhalant ) is a collective term for various legal substances available that can produce an hallucinogenic effect when inhaling ( sniffing ) and are therefore mostly consumed by young people as a substitute for illegal drugs. In particular, common household substances, the solvent ( usually oxygenated or halogenated hydrocarbons) may be included and may have a similar effect of noise unfold like illegal drugs, referred to as inhalants. This may be aerosols, adhesives, thinners or similar. Also nitrous oxide and poppers are called inhalants.

Vapors of other readily volatile substances can also be sniffed. Examples are gasoline and alcohol or alcohol.

The effects usually put a very fast and can last for a few minutes to several hours.

There is a high risk of long-term damage, especially damage to the central nervous system, liver, lung, hearing and sense of balance and circulatory disorders.
