Intronaut

Intronaut is a post - metal band from Los Angeles, California. The band combines rough sludge metal with progressive metal structures; this particularly in instrumental phases.

Band History

After the band was founded in 2003, they released their first demo recording zero. It was followed by a record deal with the label Goodfellow Records, which a year later re-released in the United States zero. In Germany, Lifeforce Records took care of the distribution. In early April, they began recording their debut album Void, which was produced with the support of John Haddad. It subsequently appeared in the fall of 2006.

In August 2007, singer and guitarist Leon del Muerte left the band because it is wanted to focus on his project Murder Construct more. He was replaced by Dave Timnick.

In January 2008, the band announced that it has signed a record deal with Century Media. In addition, they announced the recordings for the second album Prehistoricisms to have ended, which they published then. In addition, they covered the song Dixie Whiskey of the band EyeHateGod for the Century Media 20th Anniversary album.

In April 2009, the band played together with Kylesa as support band for Mastodon.

Early October 2010, the third album of the band Valley of Smoke, on which followed a tour with Helmet.
