Intwine

Intwine was a Dutch rock band from Tilburg, which was founded in 2002. The original members all came from the Fontys Academy skirt.

2003 was a singer Roger Peterson finalist of the TV series Idols, the Dutch equivalent of American Idol, but declined to record contract in favor from his band Intwine.

To date, the band released four studio albums, all of which were represented in the Dutch charts and 13 singles. The song Cruel Man, who was also the theme song of the film De Dominee could climb even # 1 on the singles charts in Turkey.

In October 2010, the band announced its dissolution on its website.

History

The first single of the band Happy? at first attempt was a huge success in the Netherlands and Belgium and directly reached # 3 on the local music charts. The debut album Intwine houses 3 other successful singles: Way out, get outta my head and let me be. The band receives in the same year was nominated for a Belgian TMF Award and the Dutch Edison Award.

  • 2004 controls Intwine with the title song Cruel Man of the Dutch hit movie De Dominee, which gives the second album " Perfect" to an even greater success than the debut. Cruel Man climbs in the Turkish charts even to the No.1 position.
  • In 2005, the band is once again nominated for an Edison Award.
  • 2006, the band writes new songs for the third album and placed among other things, the song Feel It on the soundtrack of the film Nachtrit.
  • In 2008, the band signed a record deal with the German record label gravure music, and begins to work on the album Kingdom Of Contradiction.
  • 2009 On 14 August 2009 Intwine Kingdom Of Contradiction finally published and thus recorded his first release outside their home.

The album entered directly into the German metal rock charts ( " MRC 30 ") and however peaked at # 7 in the Netherlands fall sales with the style change from the reggae -influenced pop-rock of the first two albums for gloomy rock album Pyrrhic Victory to the final publication of Kingdom of Contradiction, which is very influenced by the Industrial steadily.
