Invalides (Paris Métro and RER)

Invalides is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located under the green area Esplanade des Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of Paris and is served by the metro line 8 and 13. Since 1979 is the transit traffic to the RER C at the underground station linked Invalides. The station is named after the nearby invalids home.

The station was taken on December 24, 1913 in operation, when the first section of the line from the station Beaugrenelle (Charles Michels today ) was opened up to Opera 8. On 20 December 1923, the station of the line was 13 (then line 10) opens. On July 27, 1937, the lines of some metro lines in the south of Paris has been changed so that the line 14 from that time stops at the line 10. Since November 9, 1976, line 13 stops at the station.
