Irache Quintanal

Irache Quintanal ( Irache Quintanal Franco, born September 18, 1978 in Reus) is a Spanish shot putter and discus thrower.

In the shot put the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she was eliminated in the qualifying. In 2006 she was runner- Ibero-American in the shot put and discus throw.

At the World Athletics Championships in 2007 and the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, she came in the shot put again do not have the preliminaries out, and at the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona separated them both in the shot put and discus throw out in qualifying.

So far it has been four times Spanish champion in the shot put (2002, 2003, 2004, 2007) and five times in the discus throw (2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 ). In the hall, she won three times the national title in the shot put ( 2003, 2007, 2008).

Irache Quintanal is 1,74 m tall and weighs 82 kg. She is coached by Luis Lizaso. From 1999 to 2010 she started for FC Barcelona and then moved to Valencia Terra i Mar.
