Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008

The Euro song took place on 23 February 2008 and was the Irish preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade. The show was hosted by Ray d' Acry. The Euro song was transferred from Limerick.

Was voted by SMS and by televoting. After the contributions were also a jury, including Dana, which the Euro Vision Song Contest 1970 won. However, the jury had no voting weight.

Dustin the Turkey reached the 1.Semifinale the contest number 15, so could not qualify for the final itself.

  • Marc Roberts represented Ireland at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1997. He achieved a second place.
  • The Slovenian Maja Slatinšek was in 2006 represented the Euro Vision Song Contest: As a background singer of Anžej Dezan.
  • Dustin the Turkey was also in advance as favorite.
