Iris Bahr
Iris Bahr ( * in the 20th century in New York City, New York ) is an American actress, comedian, director, author and television producer. She is known for her television series Svetlana and her show Dai, for which they Lucille Lortel Award 2008 won as best individual artist and also received two Drama Desk Award nominations as well as a UK Stage Award nomination.
Her book Dork Whore from 2007, which tells the story of her journey through Asia, Germany was a bestseller.
Early life
Bahr grew up in the Bronx, but moved to the divorce of their parents, at the age of 13 years, along with her mother to Israel. For two years she was there with the Israeli Military Intelligence and reached the rank of Sergeant. As a young woman she traveled through Asia. She has a magna cum laude from Brown University, where she studied neuropsychology and religion science and operational neuroscience and cancer research at the Universities of Stanford University and Tel Aviv University.
She refers to herself as an Israeli Jew.
Career
Bahr had from 2000, some speaking roles in computer games Star Trek: Voyager: Elite Force Star Trek: Away Team, Star Trek: Armada II, Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix and Star Trek: Elite Force II 2001 she experienced her first television appearance in Star Trek: Voyager. Further guest appearances followed in series such as King of Queens (2002), Friends (2003) and The Big Bang Theory (2007). In her series Svetlana she was active from 2010 to 2011 as an actress, screenwriter, director and producer.
In 2006 she had her first lead role in Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector and start in November of the same year, " one woman show " Dai her.
