Irving Louis Horowitz

Irving Louis Horowitz ( born September 25, 1929 in New York; † March 21, 2012 in Princeton ( New Jersey)) was an American sociologist. From 1962 to 1969 he was professor of sociology at Washington University in St. Louis. Since 1969 he had until his retirement held the Hannah Arendt Professor of Sociology and Political Science at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
