Isaac Bloom

Isaac Bloom (* around 1716 in Jamaica, Queens County, New York, † April 26, 1803 in Clinton, Dutchess County, New York ) was an American politician. Bloom moved in 1740 after Dutchess County. He was captain of the Minutemen in 1775 in Charlotte County of Dutchess County, in 1784 worked as a dealer and from 1788 to 1792 a member of the New York State Assembly.

Bloom was in 1801 as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention of New York there and from 1800 to 1802 Member of the Senate of New York. He was elected to the 8th U.S. Congress then, where he served from March 4, 1803 until his death in Clinton (New York).
