Isérables is a municipality in the district of Martigny in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.
Geography
Isérables covers an area of 1532 ha between the Rhône- level (460 m above sea level. M. ) and the " Point de Champs Ferret " as the highest point of the municipality with 2,750 m above sea level. M. The place itself is located at about 1,100 m above sea level. M.. Borders the following municipalities of Isérables are in the northeast, east and southeast and the southwest of Nendaz, west and northwest Riddes.
History
The oldest record dates from a contract of sale of the year 1227th Independence was awarded the municipality on March 13, 1798. Due to the topographical location in a steep slope, the population for a long time lived in isolation and de facto independent. This only changed by the construction of the cable car Riddes - Isérables (1942 ) and a road mid-1970s.
