ISO 3166-2:BR

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Brazil contains the codes for the 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Brazil BR ), the second the code for the state or the federal district again. The current country code has not been updated since the publication in 1998.
