ISO 3166-2:CD

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Democratic Republic of Congo contains the codes for the Capital District and the 10 provinces.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Democratic Republic of Congo CD), the second is the code for the district, the province again. The current country code is in the second newsletter of 21 May 2002 (PDF) last updated.

With the change in the second newsletter (ISO 3166-2:2002-05-21 ) the province of Haut -Congo was renamed the Oriental. Previously called the code for this province CD - HC.
