Israel Police

The police of Israel (Hebrew: משטרת ישראל, Mischteret Yisrael ) is a police institution of the State of Israel. Their duties include law enforcement, control of road traffic and prevent threats to public order and security. Organization

The police Israel employs approximately 30,000 full-time workers. These are supported by up to 70,000 volunteer forces.

The regional breakdown corresponds to the six districts of Israel. The functional classification is done according to the task fields in numerous departments such as Investigations & Intelligence ( German about investigations and information) or Policing and Security ( German about control and security ).

There is also the Border Police (Hebrew: מִשְׁמַר הַגְּבוּל Mishmar HaGvul or short מג"ב Magav ), which has a special responsibility for combating terrorism, among others, and for this purpose the special unit JAMAM maintains.

The head of the police ( or Rav Nitzav Nitzav ) will be appointed by the Israeli government on recommendation of the Minister of Homeland Security. He is assisted by a deputy to the side.

National Headquarters of the Israel Police

A tethered second and larger building was added. The building of the Ministry of Public Security was later built next to the headquarters of the Israel Police.
