Istana Kampong Glam

The Istana Kampong Glam ( in German: Palace of Kampong Glam, Chinese:甘榜 格南 皇宫), also Istana Kampong Gelam, is a once erected for the Sultan of Johor 's palace. It is located near the Masjid Sultan in Kampong Glam Singapore district. The building was constructed in 1819 at the behest of the Sultan of Johor Hussein Shah. Since November 27, 2004 is there a cultural institution, the Malay Heritage Centre.
