Styne and Cahn wrote the song It's a Great Feeling for the comedy film was a great feeling (1949, original title: It's a Great Feeling, directed by David Butler). The main roles Dennis Morgan, Jack Carson and Doris Day play that introduces the song in the movie. After her great success with the song It's Magic in Romance on the High Sea (1948 ) the songwriting team Styne / Cahn had written again a film song for Doris Day.
