The Italian national ice hockey team is the national women's hockey national team of Italy. It is located in the current IIHF World Ranking from 2010 to 17th place and plays in the so-called C World Cup ( officially: Division II).

History

The Italian national ice hockey team of women was founded in 1992 and has been increasing since the 1999 World Cup qualifying discharged in 2000 participated in international competitions. My biggest success in the World Cup was the eighth place of the B- WM ( total of 16 place ), in which Italy plays in her very first World Cup appearance in 2000, which also meant relegation to the Division II subsequently introduced since then.

In their only previous participation in the Olympic Winter Games, the Italians occupied at the Winter Games in Turin in 2006, for which they qualified automatically as hosts, the eighth and last place thus.
