Ivan Dejmal

Ivan Dejmal ( born October 17, 1946 in Ústí nad Labem, † February 6, 2008 in Prague) was a Czech environmentalist, environmentalists, politicians, and former dissident of the civil rights movement Charter 77

During the Velvet Revolution in November 1989, he was one of the founders of the Civic Forum and 1991-1992 Environment Minister in the Cabinet Petr Pithart. From December 2007 until his death, he was the deputy chairman of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian regime.
