Ivan Hribar

Ivan Hribar ( born September 19, 1851 in Trzin, † April 18, 1941 in Ljubljana ( Laibach ) ) was a Slovene and Yugoslav banker, politician, diplomat and publicist. At the turn of the 20th century, he was a leader of the National Progressive Party and one of the most important figures of Slovene liberal nationalism. Between 1896 and 1910 he was contributing to the reconstruction and modernization of the city after the earthquake of 1895 (now the capital of Slovenia), and has significantly mayor of Ljubljana.
