Ivan Leko

Ivan Leko ( born February 7, 1978 in Split) is a Croatian football player.

Career

Leko's career began in his home at Hajduk Split. As great hope and European teams were immediately aware of him. So he moved in 2003 to Spain, where he was but right kick in the Málaga CF. Very attached to their home once he completed a season at Hajduk Split 2004/ 05, before he moved to Club Brugge free transfer, where he has since played a major role. In the national team he was never a regular player, but always in a tight circle. So he came here to eleven missions and was also in the World Cup 2006 squad. As a playmaker he should play a role in both offensive as well as defensive midfielder, if a player of the starting eleven should be hurt. Leko played from 2009 in Belgium with Germinal Beerschot. He now stands at SC Lokeren under contract.
