Ivan Savin

Ivan Anatoljevich Sawin (Russian: Иван Анатольевич Савин; born January 4, 1981 in Chelyabinsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player, who was last at Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Ivan Sawin began his career as a hockey player with the HK Mechel Chelyabinsk, for by 2001 he was active from 1998 in the Russian Super League. However, since he could not prevail there, he moved in 2001 to their city rivals HC Traktor Chelyabinsk in the subprime Wysschaja League, with which he became in the 2005/06 season in the Super League. Nevertheless, he moved to the climb to HK MVD Tver. In summer 2007, the defender received a contract with the reigning champions HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk, with whom he 2008 IIHF European Champions Cup won. Since the 2008/ 09 season Sawin played for Spartak Moscow HK in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League. In 2010 he returned to Chelyabinsk, before he was hired for the season 2011/12 of Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

In December 2011 he moved to Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg, where his current contract was terminated in August 2012.
