Ivan Trush

Ivan Trush Iwanowytsch (Ukrainian Іван Іванович Труш, scientific transliteration Ivan Ivanovyč TRUS; Polish Ivan Trusz; born January 17, 1869 in Wysocko in Brody, Galicia, † March 23, 1941 in Lviv, Ukraine) was a Ukrainian painter.

He studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts ( under Leon Wyczółkowski and Jan Stanisławski ). He later studied in Munich followed ( with Anton Ažbe ) and Vienna.

Trusz traveled to Rome, Crimea, Egypt and Palestine. He has worked in recent years to life in Lviv. The collections of his paintings are in the Lviv Museum of Ukrainian Art and the Villa of the artist in Lviv, Ivan Trush -Str. 28
