Ivana Brkljačić

Ivana Brkljačić ( born January 25, 1983 in Villingen -Schwenningen ) is a Croatian hammer thrower.

Biography

Born in southern Germany Ivana Brkljačić moved shortly after her birth with her parents in their place of origin Trnovac in Gospic, where she spent her childhood until her 10th year. After a move to Zagreb she began to exercise regularly, first as a basketball player and runner. Since 1993, she coached the hammer throw. In the same year she was able to achieve a first international success with a third place already at the U18 World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Since 2007, her personal best of 75.08 m. She trains at Zagreb's Dinamo sports club AK - Zrinjevac, it is the most successful athlete of the association.
