The Izumo Airport (Japanese出 云 空港, Izumo - Kuko ) is a small commercial airport of the city of Izumo in Japan. The airport is located about 10 kilometers north-east from the city center Izumo on the shores of Lake Shinji. From here, there are currently (2009) only domestic routes. To extend the start and runway had to be heaped up a piece of land. The Izumo Airport applies after the Japanese legislation as a third class airport.
