Jabberwocky (card game)

Jabberwocky (also known as "China Poker" ) is a card game for 3-5 people, which is played with 52 cards.

The goal is 13 laps in the respective stitches that you will make to predict correctly. The game winner is the player who guesses the most common.

Deal cards

At the beginning of the first round, each player is dealt 3 cards each. Then the top of the remaining cards is revealed. The color of this card determines the trump color.

The number of cards increases in every round by one, up to the maximum number of 9 cards per player. Thereafter, the number of cards is reduced in each round a. After 13 rounds, when players have again get 3 cards, the game ends.

Estimate the number of stitches

The player next to the dealer starts the first game, by estimating the number of his prints to be made (a number from 0 to the number of cards in your hand ).

The other players follow with their estimates. The last player must choose his number such that the number of stitches is not equal to the number of cards ( or the possible stitches) is ( so it is not possible that all players make in a round points).

The game

The player who gave the first estimate, also starts the game by playing off any card. For the following players there follow suit; if they do not have this color, they can play any card.

A stitch can not be started with a trump card that was out when played in previous stitches already trump (or "trump already begun " was ).

The player who played the highest card of the color of the first card played wins the trick, unless also trump cards were played. Then the player who played the highest card wins this. The winner starts the next trick.

The round ends when all cards have been played.

Statement

At the end of the round, each player who has his stitches predicted accurately receives one point (otherwise not ).

The player or players with the most points after 13 rounds will win / win.
