Jacek Chmielnik

Jacek Chmielnik ( born January 31, 1953 in Łódź, † 22 August, 2007 Suchawa, powiat Włodawski ) was a Polish actor, theater director and playwright.

Jacek Chmielnik studied acting at the Film School in Łódź and graduated in 1975. In the same year he made his debut at the theater Ateneum in Warsaw. He then played in numerous Polish theaters. In 1997, he staged operas, operettas and musicals. His comedy Romanca was listed in some Polish theaters, as well as in the United States. Great popularity he reached for his starring roles in the films Vabank and king directed by Juliusz Machulski in the 1980s. Jacek Chmielnik died after an electrical accident in the basement of his summer house in Suchawa.
