Jackie Henderson

Jackie Henderson ( born January 17, 1932 in Glasgow, † 26 January 2005) was a Scottish football player.

Career

Henderson came in 1949 when compulsory military service to Portsmouth. There he joined the Portsmouth FC, for whom he ran aground until 1958. He had noticed the person in charge of the Scottish national team, the first time in 1953 appointed him to the team. A year later, he was part of the squad for the 1954 World Cup. Early 1958, he moved first to the Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he could not be established as a regular force, and therefore the end of season received no medal after winning the championship.
