Jackson do Pandeiro

Jackson do Pandeiro ( born August 31, 1919 in Alagoa Grande, Paraíba, † July 10, 1982 in Rio de Janeiro; actually José Gomes Filho ) was a Brazilian musician. He had Luiz Gonzaga by one of the greatest musicians of forró and other styles of the Brazilian Northeast, and a master of the pandeiro, after he got his stage name. He initially joined as a band musician in restaurants and cabarets in Campinas, later in João Pessoa on before he recorded numerous records.
