Jackson Township is one of 16 townships of Crawford County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 5487 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Jackson Township is located in the southeast of Crawford County in north-central Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Vernon Township, Sharon Township, Richland County, Sandusky Township ( Richland County), Polk Township and Jefferson Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
