Jacob Senleches
Jacob Senleches ( terms between 1382/83 and 1395 ), also Jacob de Senleches ( Grove ), Jacomi Senleches ( MGG ) or Jacopinus Selesses ( ModA ), was a composer and harpist frankoflämischer. He is a major representative of the ars subtilior. He could have been born in Saint- Luc near Evreux or in Senleches (or Sanlesches ) in Cambrai. 1382, he was apparently at the court of Eleanor of Castile († 1382 ). In the Chanson de Fuions ci he laments her death and the necessity of having to move away. He later served Pedro de Luna, Cardinal of Aragon ( later Benedict XIII. ) As a harpist.
