Jacob Wallenberg

Jacob Wallenberg (born 13 January 1956 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish banker. From 1998 to 2005 he was chairman of the Swedish bank Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken private.

Jacob Wallenberg, a member of the influential Wallenberg family, studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and completed his undergraduate work in economics in 1980. In 1981 he obtained his Master of Business Administration.

After a number of intensive trainee programs Wallenberg worked since 1984 for the SEB mainly in Sweden, but also in Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York.

From 1990 to 1992, Wallenberg Vice Director of Investor AB, a credit company with substantial interests in major Swedish companies.

After the reunification of the SEB Group in 1993 Wallenberg as Executive Director (CEO ) was established in 1997 as Chief Executive Officer ( Chairman of the Board) elected ( 1998-2005).

Wallenberg was in the Navy and is an officer of the reserve.

Privately he is married to Marie Wallenberg and has three children. In his spare time he sails and plays golf.
